Everyday Bike Hero

Not all heroes wear capes, but the best kind often ride bikes!

Wellington has lots of Bike Heroes and we want you to nominate them! With a smile and a sense of freedom they brave the traffic and weather daily to ride their bikes to work.  Their naturally bright and cheery dispositions spread joy and inspiration to their families, fellow riders and workmates alike!

Do you know someone who rides to work rain or shine, is a positive force in our community, and displays a passion for biking that inspires others? Nominate them for our Bike Hero Ride!

Each month, we’ll celebrate a community member who leads by example. Our winning Bike Hero will be honoured with a ride to work in style—accompanied by our soundbike blasting their theme tune. Friends, coworkers, and fellow riders will join in, surrounding the hero with music, energy and good vibrations!. When we arrive at their workplace, there will be cheers, dancing, and even a morning tea shout for their colleagues!
